Our client is a minority-owned, 8(a) certified small business that has spent almost a decade supporting the Government with cutting-edge technical and professional solutions, propelling their continued expansion. They’ve asked us to help them identify a dynamic, analytical Lead Accountant to (remotely) join their team.

As the Lead Accountant, you’ll report directly to the CIO while leading the growth of their accounting discipline, developing financial planning, and modeling tools, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, and CAS using industry standards and best practices. You’ll be a critical part of the leadership team as they prioritize and plan the scaling of the business for anticipated growth.


  • Ensure accounting policies are in accordance with the GAAP, FAR, and CAS
  • Guarantee compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Establish yearly financial objectives, processes, and procedures
  • Using long-term and short-term cash flow models, develop and prepare projection models and annual budgets
  • Supervise annual audits
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local taxes


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 8+ years managing a financial Government contract
  • Knowledge of DCAA and DCMA compliance requirements
  • Experience working with:
    • Government Contracts
    • Unanet
    • External auditors
    • Internal controls
    • Compliance-related issues
