The FHIR Engineer will be responsible for keeping up with Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources industry trends.
Responsibilities will vary by position and client specifications, here’s an example:
- Employ and maintain FHIR endpoints
- Handle FHIR messages
- Piloting implementations of FHIR/HL7 proposals
- Monitor products to ensure there is no cybersecurity risk
- Safeguard sensitive data
- Digitally extend appropriate FHIR access to customers, partners, and vendors
Requirements and experience levels will vary by position and client specifications, but the following skills and experience are helpful:
- Experience with FHIR
- Experience with FHIR standards, emerging systems integrations technologies, analysis, design, programming, and implementation planning
- Experience with Python
- Experience in web development
- Experience with APIs
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience with data streaming.
- Experience with Linux/Unix Command line
- Experience with HIPPA and HITECH
